Access, Login, and System Requirements:

Access to Depot:
All members of the Northwestern community who have a valid NetID and password can access Depot, but only those users who have been granted full access to Depot can upload files to the server. At this time, full access is available to faculty members who have submitted special requests to utilize Depot and to their students. To request full access to Depot, please stating and explaining your reasons. Unfortunately, student requests for full access to Depot are not being processed at this time.

Logging In:
Users should login to Depot at http://depot.northwestern.edu using their valid Northwestern NetID and password. For more information on managing your NetID and password.

System Requirements:
Depot supports Windows XP and Macintosh OSX operating systems. Older Windows and Macintosh operating systems (such as Windows 2000 or Macintosh OS9) are not necessarily incompatible with Depot, but nor is compatibility guaranteed. Depot is also accessible from Unix and Linux via the web client.

About the Depot Interface:

After logging in the main Depot screen consists of three areas; the Main Toolbar, the Navigation Bar, and File Directory. Hover your mouse over the picture below to see the names of each area:
