Do I need to request access to use Depot?
|
|
If you are a student who is enrolled in a course that utilizes DEPOT, your instructor would have made an announcement during class regarding
your access to DEPOT. If this is not the case, please consult with your instructor regarding your access to DEPOT.
For intructors, please stating and explaining your reasons to use DEPOT.
Depot utilizes our NetID system, so it is not necessary to create new users or passwords. However, unless you have been
authorized to use Depot, you will find that you have a quota of 0 bytes upon logging in.

Why does my Depot Web site (depot.northwestern.edu\myNetID) show everything even though I didn't grant anyone any permission?
|
|
If you use your browser to login to Depot, and
then use your browser to access your folder over the Web, it lets you
in without requesting a password. This is the result of the browser remembering
your login. To test the security, log out of Depot and close your browser,
then try to connect again over the Web. You should get a window asking for your username and password.
