Reserving a Classroom


To reserve a Smart Classroom, contact the Office of the Registrar located in the Rebecca Crown Center, 633 Clark, (467-7866 or 491-8438).

A key is needed to access the podium equipment and projector installed in each Smart Classroom. These keys are distributed by the Office of the Registrar and must be picked up during regular business hours, M - F, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Please note:
  • Professors needing a key for a class may reserve a key for an entire quarter.
  • Keys for one-time events may be picked up one-day in advance of the reservation and must be returned the next day after the event, during regular business hours.
  • Individuals holding events in Smart Classrooms after regular business hours are encouraged to pick up a key at the Office of the Registrar during normal business hours.

*Reserving a Laptop-Based seminar classroom in the main Library

The Laptop-Based seminar classrooms can be reserved by contacting the Library InfoCommons. These classrooms use a self-service projection system which is available for check out at the main desk of the Library InfoCommons, and require that you supply your own laptop. If you plan on using this equipment in one of these seminar classrooms, please do the following.

  1. Reserve the room and equipment as early as possible. Call 491-7658 or stop by the main desk of the InfoCommons to make your reservation. You will need a valid WildCard for verification. Please allow a 1 week advanced notice.
  2. Test the equipment with your laptop in advance of your first class.

Orientations Available
These presentation systems are simple to set-up and use. However, if you need assistance, you should schedule an orientation on use of this equipment by calling the 7-ROOM phone number (7-7666) to arrange an appointment. Please note that you must reserve and check-out the equipment for this orientation.
